Salem United Methodist Church in Ladue is seeking a part-time Executive Director. The primary focus of the Executive Director is to oversee the day-to-day operation of Salem United Methodist Church. Salem is one church operating in two locations: (i) a Mid-County site at South Lindbergh Blvd. and Highway 64; and (ii) a South-City site in the Carondelet neighborhood at the corner of Virginia Ave. and Haven Street. The Executive Director will manage and lead all of the non-pastoral staff and serve as oversight on all budgeting ministries, as well as oversight of building operations and contracts.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.  Preferred degree in business, law, theology, human resources or related field.
Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of business management experience; preferably in the areas of contract administration, human resources, payroll and finance
  • 5+ years of multi-personnel supervision and management
  • Demonstrated experience leading change and making measurable improvements in key business metrics
  • Experience in the development, documentation, and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Exceptionally detail oriented and results driven
  • Proficiency in MS Office and a general use of database program software

This person casts vision and directs efforts for programs that welcome youth of all backgrounds to help them take meaningful steps in their faith journey.
This person must be a team player who is called to full-time youth ministry.
